We have been Nominated!

It’s an exciting week for Climb 4 as we opened our emails this morning to find out we have been nominated for a BBC Radio Humberside Make a Difference Community Award. The awards recognise individuals and groups who make life better for people in our communities. Previous nominees include Jemma Akers-Jacklin, Jen’s Special Place in Scunthorpe, Magda Moses in Hull, Santa Squad; Ava, Thea, Phoebe and Laurie in Hull and Naomi Harada Dalby in Barton.

BBC Radio Humberside shared with us some of the nomination submission:

THE SUBMISSION

“Climb 4 is a lovely group of people. Passionate about SEND where they help families with everything to do with SEND and supports siblings and parents too. Our girls really enjoyed the groups they provided and managed to reconnect with each other and meet new people too. Me and my wife volunteered here and even managed to work at HAF which even though it was stressful at times it helped with confidence and team building. I think Climb 4 need the recognition they deserve and would benefit by having more promotion.”

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT

· The panel of judges will consider all entries and shortlist 32.

· The finalists will be announced live on BBC Radio Humberside in the summer.

· Finalists will be invited to a ceremony in September.

THANK YOU

This recognition means the world to us, and we couldn’t have done it without the support of our amazing community. We wanted to take this opportunity to thank all of you for believing in what we do — we’re so proud to be part of something that truly makes a difference.
