1:1 Sessions – Stronger, Safe and Supported.

Before I started attending my 1-to-1 emotional support sessions at Climb 4, I often felt worried and nervous most of the time. I didn’t have many friends and I found it hard to talk to other children. I usually kept to myself and didn’t like joining in with activities because I felt like I might get things wrong. This made my confidence very low, and sometimes I felt sad without really knowing why. I also had a lot of anxiety and worries in my head, which made school and other places feel stressful instead of fun.

When I started going to Climb 4 for 1-to-1 sessions, I was unsure at first, but the mental health coach made me feel welcome straight away. They listened to me and didn’t make me feel rushed or judged. The activities we did together helped me talk about my feelings in a way that felt easier, especially when we used games, creative activities, and movement instead of just talking. This made me feel calmer and helped me understand my emotions better.

Over time, I started to feel more confident in myself. I found it easier to speak to other people, and I wasn’t as scared to try new things. The sessions helped me learn ways to cope when I feel worried or upset, and now I don’t feel as overwhelmed as I did before. My mood has improved, and I feel happier and more positive about myself.

At Climb 4, I always felt safe and supported. I knew the mental health coach was there to help me, and that I could talk about anything without getting in trouble. Having that safe space made a big difference, because it meant I could relax and be myself. Knowing someone understood how I felt helped me trust people more, and that has made it easier for me to make friends and join in with others.

Going to emotional support 1-to-1 sessions at Climb 4 has helped me feel stronger, more confident, and less worried. I feel like I can handle things better now, and I believe in myself more than I did before.
